SAC FAQs

What are SAC grants for?

Scholarly activities that promote student success, provide engaged learning, increase visibility, promote collaboration amongst CHPS departments, and support UVU action commitments and objectives. SAC grants can fund:

  • Reassigned Time- $3400/3 hours
  • Faculty travel to conference (see FAQ #4)
  • Student travel to conference (see FAQ #5)
  • Supplies and small equipment

How are SAC grant applications scored?

The SAC committee (comprised of representatives from each department in CHPS, as well as representatives from the dean’s office) prioritizes applications based on merit, investment, and availability of resources.

There are four proposal evaluation criteria. View here.

Additionally a scoring rubric is used. View rubric here.

What is the maximum I could be awarded? When is the deadline to apply?
