As an administrative professional, this conference features speakers and workshops on topics that will help you discover meaning and fulfillment in your work, such as Wellness at Work, Time Management, Creating and Maintaining Positivity, Managing Multiple Bosses, and more.

2020 Presenters

Alysha Turner

Alysha Turner

Alysha Turner is currently a Junior at UVU studying Communication. She is a Lead Mentor in the UVU Mentor Program and loves being with people. Alysha has grown an interest in perfectionism and how managing it can make her a better leader, student, wife, and individual. She and Anna met in a communication course and share a love of learning and desire to share that with others. Together they are producing a podcast, Popping Perfectionism, and hope to inspire others.

Anna Tibbitts

Anna Tibbitts

Anna Tibbitts is a UVU graduate with a degree in Communication. She has researched and applied principles of popping perfectionism within her own life and administrative duties, including during her recent capacity as President Tuminez's intern. Her passion is in helping individuals realize when they are falling prey to perfectionist tendencies and to learn how to combat those with self-empathy and compassion. She and her partner Alysha Turner are currently producing a podcast and book on the subject. Anna hopes her message will help others to live freer, more meaningful lives.

Carolynn Morris

Carolynn Morris

Carolynn Morris is a Communication Consultant, Life Coach, Keynote Speaker, Workshop Guru, and Travel Connoisseur. Carolynn believes that all relationships, whether professional or personal, are created, maintained, or destroyed by communication and has an insatiable desire to help others communicate more effectively and efficiently. Carolynn received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Utah State University and her master’s in Strategic Communication from Westminster. She found her life calling and loves every minute!

Christine Peterson

Christine Peterson

Christine Peterson earned an associate degree from Ricks College in Office Administration. After working ten years at WordPerfect Corporation, she choose to stay at home with her babies. While her kids were growing up, she planned events regularly as an Independent Consultant for The Pampered Chef. For the past six years, she has worked at UVU as the administrative assistant to the Engineering Technology Department and currently the Associate Vice President of HR. Planning events is one of the best parts of her job. She regularly assists in planning events from small groups to large scale events like UVU’s Summer University.

Jeff Hutchinson

Jeff Hutchinson

Jeff Hutchinson has a BS degree from BYU in Computer Aided Engineering and has worked for many years in the Information Technology field supporting and maintaining computers. He also owned a computer training and consulting firm in San Francisco, California. After selling his business in 2001, he has published over 20 books and works as a computer applications instructor throughout the world teaching a variety of classes, such as: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote), Power BI, Project, Visio, Publisher, PowerPivot, Excel Visual Basic, Adobe Products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat), Project Management Techniques, Office 365, Crystal Reports (database reporting), Microsoft Access, HTML programming, Cascade Style Sheets, Dreamweaver, Trivantis Lectora (elearning development), and Camtasia (video editing).

Joe Belnap

Joe Belnap

Joe Belnap is a best-selling author, has a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, and serves in the Office of Information Technology at UVU where he was honored with the IT Award of Excellence by the Board of Trustees. He has over 15 years of consulting experience where he received a Commitment to Excellence Award, was recognized as one "Driven to Continuously Improve,” and recently (2016) received the Barton/Nelson Leadership & Service Award. Joe is a graduate from Disney Institute's Leadership Excellence program and earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Belnap brings over 35 years of extensive business experience. In addition to his technical expertise, he has a broad business background, including finance, human resources, operations, marketing, and executive administration.

Kyler Ludwig

Kyer Ludwig

Kyler Ludwig graduated from Utah Valley University in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science; he then attended the University of Kansas where he completed a Master's Degree in Public Administration. In 2015 Kyler Ludwig was appointed as the City Administrator for the City of Greensburg, Kansas. At the time of his appointment Kyler was the youngest City Administrator in the country. In Greensburg Kyler had the challenge to manage a workforce with an average age more than double his own. In 2018 Kyler moved back to Utah and is currently working for the City of Pleasant Grove where he is focused on Human Resource Management.

Reed Parkin

Reed Parkin

Reed Parkin has an extensive and varied background in both government and business. He currently serves as judge for the City of Orem Justice Court. His initial appointment to the bench was in April 2005. He previously served the Bluffdale, Herriman, and Heber justice courts. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he served twenty years in law enforcement and police administrator and ten of those years as the lead hostage negotiator. Reed has a rich background and vast experience with life and human behavior. He has served as a member of the Utah Judicial Council and has served on the Board of Justice Court Judges. He is a past VP of Chase Bank; he is an adjunct professor for Utah Valley University (UVU) teaching courses for the Woodbury School of business in their Organizational Leadership Department. Reed is an entrepreneur, and as such, owns True Communication, which focuses on leadership training/teaching and related courses for over fifteen years. Reed has a passion for effective communication and exhibits these traits and skills as he teaches to his students and audiences.
