Who is eligible to use Microsoft Office 365 at UVU?

Current students, faculty and staff are eligible to use Microsoft Office 365. This includes adjunct faculty and student employees.

How do I access Microsoft Office 365?

  1. Navigate to the Microsoft login website and enter your UVU email address (ex. You will be redirected to our school site, then enter your password.
  2. In the top right corner of the webpage click on the "Install Office" drop-down menu and select "Office 365 apps" to download the installer. Run the executable/installer. On Android and iOS devices download the desired Microsoft Office app from the app store. 
  3. Once installed open any Office 365 application (ex. Word, Outlook) and when prompted enter your UVU credentials.
  4. From here, you can access the Office 365 apps on your device.

Is Microsoft Project and Visio included in my license?

No, Microsoft Project and Visio are separate services that are not included with the Office 365 license. At this time, there are no plans to add these services. Individual licenses for employees are available for purchase. For instructions please visit the University software pages for Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.

How many devices can I install Microsoft Office 365 on?

You can install Office 365 on all your devices and sign in to Office on 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets, and 5 phones. For more information, click here.

What happens to my account when I leave the university?

First, make sure to back up all of your files and emails before you leave as you may lose access to any files that are not backed up. Employee accounts will be deleted 90 days after the termination date, unless UVU places a hold on the account.
