Focused on the user experience, students will be trained to enter the field as a Digital Product Designer. The curriculum shares classes with Web & App Development emphasis for the first half of the degree, then focuses on the Interaction Design process.
This fast growing field referred to as UX (User Experience) or Interaction design has been only validated in the last decade as a legitimate career. The jobs for this field are a broad and varied as any other field. Many different disciplines are included under the Digital Product Design umbrella. Such as UX designer, IxD, Experience Designer, Digital Product Manager, UX practitioner, Interaction Designer, UX Research, and many other iterations. User Experience design requires empathy for the user and understanding of a products audience and purpose. UX jobs are projected to grow more than 13% over the next few years.
