The Vision 2030 document outlines a 10-year vision of how UVU will meet the higher education and workforce needs of Utah County, UVU’s service region, and the state of Utah. This document is foundational to the Dx strategy.
President Astrid Tuminez recognized that sustaining enrollment growth, diversification, and quality of education required investments in people, business processes, and technology. Accordingly, the president charged a university-wide Digital Transformation Task Force to make recommendations regarding how UVU needed to adapt. While the Task Force recognized UVU’s distinctive history and culture, it challenged the university to reinvent its operations.
We eliminate bureaucratic processes and streamline approvals to deliver outstanding results. We hold ourselves accountable to university leadership and strive to align with UVU strategy.
FINANCIAL PHILOSOPHIES & PBA PROCESSES
Dx has a responsibility to equip the university with the tools and technology it needs to enable the success of students and employees. Providing such equipment requires the responsible expenditure of significant financial resources. In order to ensure adequate financial support for UVU's digital transformation, Dx has standardized a Planning, Budgeting, and Assessment (PBA) process that secures funds for next year's priorities one year in advance.
