To keep our students and staff safe, the School of Education Advising Office is operating under modified conditions until further notice. 

In-person advising appointments are not currently available, but our advisors are still available to assist you.

Video - Virtual in-person visit. We use Microsoft Teams for video appointments. You do NOT need to have the app to participate in your video advising appointment. The link will be attached to your appointment confirmation.

Academic advising in the School of Education is a teaching and learning process focused on student success. It is more than just meeting with an advisor to determine class schedules. The School of Education employs supportive and competent academic advisors who care about you.

  • Log in to my.uvu.edu, select the “Students” tab, click “My Academics” and scroll down until you see “My Advisor Information” where you will see the name and contact information of your assigned advisor.


When should you meet with us?

 If you are a new student or a transfer student with less than 30 credits, please schedule an appointment with the First-Year Advising Center

Students with more than 30 credits:

You can schedule an appointment to meet with your assigned School of education academic advisor after the following criteria are met:

1. You have been formally admitted to UVU and have received your acceptance letter via http://www.uvu.edu/admissions/

2. All official transcripts have been received and posted to your student record

3. You have completed the online orientation found at www.uvu.edu/orientation

To schedule an appointment with your assigned School of Education academic advisor,  call our reception desk at 801-863-8478. You can also schedule an appointment through the online appointment scheduler button located below the advisor's profile cards (see below).

The advising offices are located in the McKay Education Building in room 114.
