This course can only be taken by students who have already taken JPNS 251G
Prerequisite(s): Students need equivalent knowledge of JPNS 1020
UAS - University Advanced Standing - 24 credits completed, GPA 2.0 or higher MAT 1030 and ENGL 2010 or equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age at the time of departure
Minimum G.P.A.: 2.5
Prerequisite Course: JPNS 1010 or studies Japanese two years or more in high school
Physical requirements: Walking to and from classes, walking and climbing stairs at historical sites and muesums. Walking all day and climbing stairs during day trips. Train and bus rides, up to 3 hours. A short boat ride. Many visiting sites have no wheelchair accessibility.
All UVU study abroad students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Students may be required to test negative for COVID-19 at their own expense by host countries as a condition for entry.

Fee covers in-country housing and transportation, excursions and program side-trips, meals while staying with host families, international insurance.
