This program offers Theatre students the opportunity to study theatre in the UK by attending a diverse range of professional performances and training with working professionals in London's West. End. In addition, students will travel to the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival - the largest arts festival in the world. Students will be able to register for Introduction to Theatre, Theatre History I, &Theatre History II, which are taught in daily classes by a UVU faculty member.

Anticipated Curriculum

*Students are expected to enroll in two courses for this study abroad.

THEA 1013: Introduction to Theatre

THEA 3721: Theatre History and Literature 1
(Prerequisite - THEA 1013, THEA 1713, ENGL 2010, and UAS*)

THEA 3722: Theatre History and Literature 2
(Prerequisite - THEA 3721 and UAS*)

Students may take THEA 3721 and THEA 3722 concurrently for this program.

*University Advanced Standing - 24 credits completed, GPA 2.0 or higher MAT 1030 and ENGL 2010 or equivalent.

Program Requirements*

Must be 18 years of age at the time of departure

Minimum G.P.A.: 2.5

Physical Requirements: Students are expected to keep up a vigorous schedule with a significant amount of walking. Europe is not as ADA compliant so there are also stairs sometimes with no elevator access.

Fee Covers in-country transportation and lodging, excursions, entry fees and tickets,  international travel insurance.

Students should be prepared to pay out-of-pocket for possible COVID tests or quarantine stays if required by the host country for entry or exit.

All students are required to pay a $75 non-refundable application fee.
