Undergraduate Research Summer Institute Grant (URSIG)

The Undergraduate Research Summer Institute Grants (URSIG) was an undergraduate research program at UVU with the purpose of this grant to make progress on a significant research project relevant to the faculty and the region that was done in a team of a faculty and students. Student-faculty teams collaborated to conduct in-depth research or creative work related to their chosen field of study during the summer. A limited number of projects (4-5) were be funded each summer in amounts from $5,000 to $15,000.

Funds were awarded based on a competitive basis for work between May 9th and August 10th. Funds awarded in April were available within three weeks of the submission deadline and were required to be used by the end of August. The application was based on collaboration and team effort, and the applicant was required to be full-time faculty.  Though the grant is no longer offered, below you can see they types of projects that were funded by this program.
