Emergency Medical Technician

 

Emergency Medical Technician provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform emergency care and transport. These courses prepare students for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician through the Utah Bureau of EMS and National Registry Certification. Course costs are based on UVU tuition. Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT)

  • Cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Advanced medical skills
  • Students will earn upon completion of the class certifications in: ACLS, BLS, PALS, PHTLS
What are the prerequisites for Advanced EMT?
EMT/EMS Students using radio
  • Utah EMT-Basic Certification
  • CPR Certification by a healthcare provider
What is the class schedule for AEMT?
EMT/EMS Students stabilizing patient
  • Offered both Fall and Spring semesters
  • Tuesdays, Thursdays from 6 pm – 10 pm, Saturdays - TBA
