The mission of the Center for the Study of Ethics (CSE) is to promote and facilitate the interdisciplinary exploration of ethical theory and practice. The center administers a variety of programs designed to advance ethics education at Utah Valley University, within our region and in national and international contexts. The CSE is a non-advocacy organization committed to the inclusion of diverse perspectives and practices.

We believe an educated citizenry is necessary for the well-being of democracy and that the study of ethics is an important tool in navigating the moral complexities of public, professional, and personal life. 

CSE programming is designed to advance the study and application of ethics in variety of disciplines and contexts. We promote the  disciplined study of ethical theory and practice and explore ways in which ethics may be integrated into professional and civic life. Center  activities include:
