The Center for the Study of Ethics (CSE) is accepting applications for funding to develop Ethics Across the Curriculum at Utah Valley University. These Mini-Grants are designed to support UVU faculty to enhance ethics content in their courses. The center will award ten $1500 stipends to eligible faculty at Utah Valley University. Additional support may be available as needed to complete the project.
This grant program is part of UVU's longstanding commitment to Ethics Across the Curriculum. The core mission of the CSE is to provide students and faculty with opportunities to engage ethical questions in civic, professional, and interpersonal contexts.
All full-time UVU faculty are eligible to apply. We encourage applications from a variety of departments and programs, and welcome creative thinking about how ethics applies to your discipline.
Participating faculty will revise the curriculum in a selected course to include (or enhance) relevant ethics content. The CSE will provide consultation and support to help participants 1) interface with ethics resources within their discipline, 2) identify best practices in teaching ethics, and 3) connect with colleagues who share common interests.
The Application Form can be found at the right of this page. The form is designed to gather key information on 1) the faculty member, 2) the proposed course, and 3) proposed content and activities that enhance ethics content. All applications will be reviewed by the CSE Executive Committee and applicants will be notified within seven days the application deadline.
