Who is this camp for?

This camp is for high school students that have an interest in pursuing a career in business or financial planning. Participants must be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in high school in Fall 2019.

The Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Planning (PFP) provides students with a unique opportunity to prepare for careers as fee-for-service financial professionals. In which they will address the specific needs of individuals, families, and businesses managing wealth and working to accomplish financial goals.

Woodbury’s PFP program implements a curriculum registered through the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) Board of Standards. This provides students with the necessary knowledge to complete a CFP® certification as well as many other industry credentials. The program is one of only a limited number of dedicated, AACSB accredited bachelor programs in Personal Financial Planning.

As part of the Personal Financial Planning program, you'll have many opportunities to participate in national competitions, win scholarships, and cultivate rapport with esteemed professionals. The following are a few competitions in which PFP students placed:

Programs

  Bachelor

It is intended to prepare students to become fee-for-service professional planners with strong ethical standards who work with families and individuals developing specific budget, asset management, and related planning processes.

  Certificate

It provides the required seven courses in a residential setting for individuals who already have a bachelor degree but lack these required courses. It will supplement the existing bachelor program in Personal Financial Planning.

 Endowing Professorships

There is no greater honor that a distinguished faculty member can achieve than to be invited to hold an endowed chair or professorship. An endowed professorship can be funded annually for a specific period of time or in perpetuity through the establishment of an endowment.
