As UVU continues to work toward creating a more inclusive environment for all students, Student Development and Well-being has decided to dissolve the Miss UVU pageant as of July 2021.
Although the Department of Student Leadership and Involvement recently updated the Miss UVU pageant to better focus on service, leadership, scholarship, and female empowerment, the pageant continues to serve students with the financial means to pay for pageant apparel, talent training, and in some cases, pageant coaches. To be fiscally responsible and more inclusive, we have repurposed operating funds to benefit UVU programs associated with civic engagement, where students can find opportunities to succeed regardless of socioeconomic status and ability.
We encourage those looking to participate in pageants to reach out to their local or city pageants to learn more about their application processes.
