Student Testimonials

portrait of Tori Hooper

Tori Hooper, RCL Program

"Wolverine Summit was such an awesome experience in many different aspects. Not only do you have the opportunity to connect with the different student leadership programs on campus but it also gets you pumped for the upcoming school year and all of the opportunities that are ahead of you. There are so many different breakout sessions and activities that are tied to the thing you will face throughout your year of student leadership. Not only is it exciting in the learning aspect, but those who run it go above and beyond with the decorations and food, you can tell how much our coordinators want to help us become the best student leaders we can be; also UVU is the absolute best!"

Jake Schlesinger, UVUSA Green Team Member

"I attended the Wolverine Summit as a freshman and had no idea what to expect. When I walked into the Regan Theatre instantly I thought I was in the wrong place because everyone knew each other and were talking having a good time. Eventually I spoke with the VP of Activities and she introduced me to all of the people on student council and from then on I’ve been a part of UVUSA. The Wolverine Summit is an event where you learn different leadership skills and learn about other parts of UVU where students can get involved. After people spoke in the Regan Theatre everyone went to the SLWC and ate food and listened to the Green Man Group. There were also games that we played to see how much people knew about UVU history. It was a great experience to meet so many new people and learn so much about different ways to get involved at UVU."

Ramiro “Rudy” Alba, Inter-Club Council President

"I have attended Wolverine Summit for the past 4 years. My first year was such an eye opener on how to become a leader. The following years enhanced my experience on becoming the leader I am today. The breakout sessions really helped me with time management, how to speak in a professional manner, how to stay positive in a stressful situation. James Robilotta and Tom Krieglstein were two of the many keynote speakers that I remember speaking to us at the Wolverine Summit events I have been to. Those two really helped me come out of my shell more and I have followed their social media ever since. Wolverine Summit is beneficial to everyone!!!"
