Sarah Munson Barker Endowed Scholarship

Sarah was born on an April morning in Orem, Utah. She loved animals, especially horses, cats, and rabbits. She had a vast stuffed animal collection. Sarah was in 4-H for 10 years and showed in Pony of the Americas for 16 years, winning the Sportsmanship award and many other awards. Sarah was in dance and chorus in junior high and high school. Singing and dancing were always part of her. She loved to be with her friends and playing outdoor games like volleyball and Frisbee. She married David Barker in June of 2006. She was in the CNA program at Mountainland Applied Technology College and was involved in mock disaster trainings. She was attending Utah Valley University, intent on entering the Nursing program, which was her true passion. She had a generous and good-natured personality and was much loved. She passed away on an April morning shortly before her 21st birthday. It is her family's hope that this scholarship will be her legacy for many, many years to come.
