Program Details
The program will take place in Paris, France. Students will complete UVU courses (and UVU coursework) on-site in Paris while improving their language skills in a setting that is conducive to improving listening, reading, writing, and oral comprehension skills in the target language. Coursework will also occur in Orem before and after the study abroad experience. Importantly, studying French in Paris will also allow students to interact with a diverse population of French speakers, enabling them to critically examine the many cultures and peoples that inhabit the French capital. Furthermore, students will reside with a host family and will have on-going opportunities to put their language skills into practice outside of the language classroom, and in real-world settings--a scenario often difficult to access outside of a French-speaking country.
