Program Details

Boost your career credentials while studying in beautiful Scotland! Students have the unique opportunity to deeply dive into the local culture while expanding their business skills through a hands-on consulting engagement with a significant Scottish company. Past projects have included Walkers (the famous international shortbread company) WOW Scotland (tourism), Roberstons (an almost 1 billion per year property company) and Cairngorm Brewery. Imagine having a letter of reference from the head of an international company on your resume. Imagine visiting the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. Imagine working with students from two partner universities. Imagine enjoying historic Edinburgh. Imagine eating haggis. Ok, don’t imagine that. Anticipated Curriculum

*Students are expected to enroll in one or two courses for this study abroad.

MGMT  3000 Organizational Behavior
(Prerequisite - MKGT 2200 and UAS*)

MGMT 330G Survey of International Business
(Prerequisite - ENGL 2010 or ENGL 2020 and UAS*)

MKGT335G International Marketing
(Prerequisite - MKTG 3600 and UAS*)

*University Advanced Standing - 24 credits completed, GPA 2.0 or higher MAT 1030 and ENGL 2010 or equivalent.

Program Requirements*

Must be 18 years of age at the time of departure

Minimum G.P.A.: 2.5

Physical Requirements: Walking, sitting in lectures, visiting with clients, bus travel, hiking and walking.

Fee covers in-country housing and transportation, food, excursions, international insurance

All students are required to pay a $75 application fee for all Study Abroad programs.

Tuition Waivers

Please contact the UVU Benefits Office for more information. In certain instances, tuition waivers may not apply for an international program.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

Pell Grants and Federal Insured Student Loans may be applied to the program, based on eligibility. Applicant must have a current FAFSA form on file at the Financial Aid Office (BA 105) and complete all necessary application forms for financial aid.
