Application Checklist:

  1. Application : All application materials must be submitted by the program application deadline for full consideration. Programs may fill before the posted application deadline, so apply as early as possible. Submit your application here. There is a $75 non-refundable application fee.

Note: All non-UVU applicants must first be admitted to UVU before they can apply for a UVU study abroad (Non-UVU Students).

  2. Acceptance: Within a few weeks of the application deadline, you will receive an official notification of acceptance from GEO that outlines the next steps regarding payments, course registration, safety and culture orientation, additional forms, etc.. Your faculty program director may or may not be in touch with you earlier than the application deadline, but they will definitely be in contact with you after your official acceptance to discuss program and travel arrangements.
  3. Payment of Deposit: Once accepted into a Study Abroad Program, you will be required to pay a non-refundable commitment deposit (generally $300 - $500) to confirm their place. See Cancellation Policy.
  4. Program fees: Program fees will be charged to student accounts. The balance of the program fee will be due 3 weeks before the program begins.

Admission into a UVU Study Abroad program is non-discriminatory. UVU admits persons without regard to gender, race, creed, religion, national origin, age, or disability who meet UVU's academic requirements, agree to abide by the Student Rights and Responsibility Code of Conduct, and are otherwise qualified.
