LA Spanish Consulate Internships | High Impact Internships

Fluent Spanish speakers from any major are eligible for one of our high impact internship experiences. The Los Angeles Spanish Consulate accepts one student each semester to assist with the volume of work at their location. Network with government officials from Spain and enjoy the Los Angeles weather and lifestyle. Please note that students who will commit to two semesters are given preference during the application process.

Scholarship

This internship comes with a $12,000/semester scholarship. After rent, students are left with roughly $6,000 that they can use for tuition and living expenses. Housing is a one-bedroom apartment that is a short walk from the Consulate in the heart of Hollywood.

Eligibility

Students who wish to apply must meet the following criteria:

UVU Student

Student must be a current UVU undergraduate at time of internship and registered for a least 1 internship credit during their internship semester
Student must be a sophomore, junior, or senior

Fluent Spanish Speaker

Student must be able to write and converse fluently in both English and Spanish
Student must be familiar with the Spanish culture

Academic Rigor

Student must have a 3.0 minimum GPA
Students with a 3.2 GPA and above is preferred

Work Ethic

Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills, research abilities, communications, dependability, and have a strong desire to learn
