Producer Interns have the unique opportunity to learn about the industry while being mentored, one-on-one, by a top Producer. They assist Producers in handling and processing new and renewal lines of business and providing customer service to clients as assigned and requested. It's fun, fast paced and never, ever boring!
 
Position Summary
The objective of being a Producer intern is to introduce you to a Producer’s responsibilities and career path. This position will require you to work closely with existing full time Producers in soliciting, servicing, and developing relationships with both potential and current Buckner clients. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to cold calling, generating prospect lists, gathering information, filling out applications, working with underwriters, and developing relationships with prospects. These tasks will adequately prepare you to develop into a full time Producer enabling you to develop your own book of business and client relationships.

Qualifications
 
Education and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate will be a Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
  • We ask that you earn your Utah Property and Casualty license within the first 60 days of your employment.
 
Required Job Knowledge and Skills:              
  • Proven ability to pursue and close sales.
  • Ability to establish and develop strong relationships with clients, carriers, trusted business partners and coworkers
  • Business development and financial evaluation skill
