The following questions can be used as a reference in case you would like to prepare your answers before completing the scholarship application.

The internship scholarships proposal will give you an opportunity to explain your internship and future goals to the Internship Scholarship Committee. Part of the judging will be based on the professionalism of your proposal.

Guidelines:

  • Each question response should be at least one paragraph in length.
  • Your proposal should be clear, concise, and professional.
  • Questions must be complete in order to be considered.

Internship Scholarship Proposal Questions

  1. Describe your internship (Please address the following in your response):
    • How did you find your internship?
    • What are your responsibilities?
    • How many hours a week do you work at your internship?
    • What do you hope to learn from this experience?
  2. How does this internship fit into your future career plans?
  3. Explain your academic progress and achievements.
  4. Why do you think you should receive this scholarship?
  5. How will your internship benefit the community?
  6. How will receiving funds assist you in completing your internship?

Internship Scholarship Proposal Questions

  1. Describe your internship (Please address the following in your response):
    • How did you find your internship?
    • Describe the job responsibilities you will have during the internship.
    • How many hours a week do you work at your internship?
    • What do you hope to learn from this experience?
  2. How does this internship fit into your future career plans?
  3. Explain your academic progress and achievements.
  4. The Li Ka-Shing Foundation’s mission states: “Our commitment to education is long term. We see education as the basis for the advancement of human civilization and technology, as well as the welfare and prosperity of society… We believe that education is the cornerstone of creative, caring, and technically inclined society.” How has getting a college education impacted your life?
  5. One of the three main focuses of the Li Ka-Shing Foundation is to encourage a culture of giving, what have you done in your own circle of influence to encourage a culture of giving? Explain how this has effected how you see the world.
  6. Li Ka-Shing said, “Your dedication should not be confined for your own gain, but unleash your passion for your beloved country as well as for the integrity and humanity of mankind.” What does this quote mean to you?
