2022 Dx All Hands Meetings

Dx All Hands meetings will be held on Wednesdays and include an in-person "Half-Time" in addition to the All Hands agenda items. Final meeting locations are tentative but will be updated as meeting dates approach. 2022 All Hands meetings are scheduled for April 6, June 8, October 5, and December 7. Each meeting will begin with a buffet lunch starting at 11:30 am, Half-Time will commence at 11:45 am, and following at 12:00 pm the All Hands meeting with agenda items affecting all Dx employees. We'll stream and record each meeting using the Half-Time meeting link (included in the calendar invitations) for those who are unable to attend, and the recording will be available for two weeks afterward. We hope everyone who is able to will attend in person.

We encourage you to set up Teams notifications for the "Digital Transformation Organization" team "General" channel and check it regularly for Dx updates and up-to-date info on All Hands meetings.

APRIL 6 PREVIEW

The All Hands meeting on April 6 will include an update on the renovation and move to the new Dx building, the announcement of Dx Excellence Award recipients, and other topics.

New login page for uvu websites

Digital Transformation is simplifying UVU's authentication processes, making it easier and faster to log in and access the systems and data you need.

After these changes are implemented on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, you'll need to sign in using your regular UVU email (e.g., john.doe@uvu.edu or UVID@uvu.edu) and your myUVU password instead of your UVID and password.

As a result, you'll receive fewer requests for multi-factor authentication (MFA), which means you won't be required to enter your username and password as frequently.

This change will allow you to:

  • Log into most UVU applications using the same username and password (e.g., myUVU, Canvas, Wolverine Track, MS Teams, MS Outlook, etc.)
  • Be authenticated across other UVU web pages automatically and securely
  • Reduce the number of times you'll need to type in your password or use MFA during the day

This change will occur automatically. You won't need to update settings on any of your devices. If you encounter any issues after this change, please contact the Service Desk.

2022 Tableau conference

The 2022 Tableau conference will be held on May 17-19. It will be in a hybrid format this year with the in-person conference in Las Vegas for $1,900 and virtually for free. If you are interested in attending in either format, talk to your supervisor.

Performance Management Trainings and New Staff Competencies

Beginning February 2022, UVU will be offering multiple virtual and in-person classes on new performance development processes.

The classes will introduce new staff competencies that will take effect July 2022 with proficiency evaluations beginning March 2023. A link to the new competencies will be coming soon.

We encourage all UVU staff to register for a class at UVULearn.

COVID-19 Info Resources for Staff

Free COVID-19 testing will be expanded to family and friends at UVU starting January 28. The tests will be free of charge from the Utah Department of Health. Only PCR tests are available. Results will be available within 24-36 hours.

Students and employees may also utilize the State testing. If you test positive, please complete the COVID-19 Self Reporting Form.

Free rapid tests will continue to be available at UVU for students and employees. Due to short supplies, we ask that only those exposed to the virus or experiencing signs of COVID-19 utilize this resource.

Free COVID-19 vaccines are also available to students, employees, and those in their immediate families.

We ask that you continue to follow health and safety guidelines. Stay home if you are sick and stay well!

Gavin

Leisa's son Gavin had a great day Saturday at the Utah State Gymnastics competition. He placed 1st in four events (rings, parallel bars, high bar, and pommel horse) and 3rd in the other two events (floor and vault). He not only had the top score in his age division (11+), he also had the highest total score (63 points) of any boy competing that day--including those who competed in the Idaho State championship (the gym/venue was hosting both states' events concurrently). His gym (All American Gymnastics) was the 1st place team.
