Setting up Student Email on a Mobile Device/Phone 

Before you setup your myUVU Gmail, make sure that you are able to sign into your myUVU account. For more information, visit our myUVU FAQ page.

To setup your myUVU email on a smartphone or tablet, follow these steps:

  1. Download the Gmail application from your phone's application store.
  2. Open the Gmail application and tap Sign In.
    1. NOTE: If you already have an account set up on the Gmail application, tap the menu icon (located in the top left corner of the app), tap the down arrow located next to the account name, and tap Manage Accounts. Tap Add account to add your myUVU email.

  3. When prompted for your email address, enter in <yourUVID>@my.uvu.edu and tap Next.

  4. You will be brought to a UVU Login Services page—sign in with your UV ID and your myUVU password.

  5. Congratulations! Your student Gmail is now setup on your Gmail app.

Forward your myUVU Email to Another Email Account

To forward your myUVU emails to another email account, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your myUVU account with your UV ID and myUVU password.
  2. Click on Go to Gmail Inbox.
  3. Click on the settings cog dropdown menu located in the top right corner of the page.
  4. Click Settings from the dropdown menu options.
  5. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP settings section.
  6. Click the Add a forwarding address button.
  7. Type in the forwarding email address and click Next, then click Proceed.
  8. You will receive a confirmation email in your forwarding email-- open the email and click the verification link.
  9. Return to your student Gmail and in the Forwarding and POP/IMAP settings, click the Forward a copy of incoming mail radio button.
  10. Click Save Changes.
