Archives Month

" "October is National Archives Month! In celebration, we would like to introduce you to the Sutherland Archives at the Fulton Library. The Sutherland Archives function similarly to the rest of the library in that they both act as a repository of information, but it is different in that archives keep one-of-a-kind items that you cannot check out. The Sutherland Archives exist to collect and preserve the history of Utah Valley University.

Our collections mostly pertain to the history of UVU with some exceptions. Our physical collections include:

Along with our physical collections, we have numerous digital collections. Some of our digital items are portions of our physical collections that have been made available for you online. For example, photographs from the Wilson Sorensen collection have been digitized and added to our online holdings for easier access and preservation purposes. Through our digital collections page you can also find access to many other regional and national collections like the Mountain West Digital Library and the Smithsonian exhibitions.

Please reach out to us for questions about UVU’s history or how to access any of our collections! Due to Covid-19 precautions, we are currently open by appointment only.
