Where to Study at the Fulton Library

Looking for somewhere you can go to buckle down and work hard on your final projects or study for your final exams? The library has a variety of spaces for you to study quietly or work in groups, plus we’re open seven days a week and late into the night!

Student studying by a window with a view of the lake and the mountains. If you need a quiet space for solo studying, head to floors three, four, or five. These are designated quiet floors with lots of open tables and comfy chairs where you can set up for a study session. The Lakeview and Timpanogos Rooms on the fourth floor are silent study spaces with plenty of table space and beautiful views. Librarians can help if there are any issues with noise on these floors: just text us at 801-863-8123 and we can come give a quick shush.

Students studying in the computer lab.For computers and printing needs, the first and second floors offer large computer labs where you can finish up your papers and projects. Lab assistants are available on both floors to troubleshoot and librarians are happy to help answer your research questions at the first-floor research help desk. There are also plenty of tables on the first floor near the café for studying with friends. Check out our FAQs for answers to common technology questions or other questions about the library.

5 students studying in a study toom with a television.Reserve a study room to meet with a group, practice giving a presentation, or study independently in a more private space. Rooms can be reserved online for up to two hours per day and up to six days in advance. If you need markers and erasers for the study room whiteboards, just ask at the Circulation Desks on the first and second floors. These rooms are also a great option if you’re looking for a space to take an online test, but you will need to provide your own laptop.

Need a break from all that studying? We will put out coloring pages and puzzles in our first-floor lobby during the last week of classes and finals week!

We wish you good luck on your finals, and remember the Fulton Library staff is here to help! Please see our Library Hours page for our daily hours and closures during the semester break and holidays and our Library Help page for options to contact a librarian.
