2.4 Limiters

Because OneSearch searches through so many different databases and collections, it's easy to get too many results. Limiters are a great way to cut out articles and books that won't be useful because they're too old, not scholarly, or irrelevant. Once the search has run, OneSearch will show a list of all the books, articles, and videos it found that include your keywords: “rock music” and history.

The first section of limits allows you to quickly limit your results to only scholarly, peer reviewed articles by clicking the Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals box. The Publication Date option shows the range of years your results were published. You can use the Publication Date option to eliminate articles and other sources that are too old—just drag the slider to the right or enter the oldest year you want in the left-hand box.
