5.7 Getting More Help

It's taken a lot of practice to get good at doing researching, and I wouldn't have been nearly as successful at it without the help of the librarians. I didn't know this, but librarians have Master's degrees in doing research. You can ask them about topic ideas, keywords, picking a database, citing a source—you can ask them about anything research-related!

There are a lot of different ways to get in touch with a librarian:
  • If you're at the Orem campus, stop by the Reference Desk on the first floor of the Library
  • Call us at (801) 863-8840
  • Text us at (801) 362-8176
  • Chat with us or send us an email

debbie short Reference librarians are available Monday to Thursday from 8:00AM to 9:00PM, on Friday from 8:00AM to 6:00PM, and on Saturday from 10:00AM to 6:30PM. Emails are usually answered by the next business day. Debbie Short (picture on left) is the health sciences librarian. You can always email Debbie at shortde@uvu.edu.
