UVU MBA Application for International Graduate Students

Additional information as you begin your application:

  • International students who require a student visa (F-1) may apply for the Full-time MBA program. This application includes requirements and fees in addition to those required for resident applicationsAll submitted documents must be original, except for copy of passport.
  • Visa Submission Deadlines: In order to ensure that visa paperwork is processed in time for students to begin the program, all required visa documents must be submitted by the following dates.

Program Application Deadlines: All required application documents must be submitted by the following dates.

  • Steps to complete the MBA Application for International Graduate Students.

  • Application – Complete online at APPLY NOW - Orem and pay the $145 application fee.
  • After submitting the application fee, applicants will be directed to complete the additional Supplemental Items.
    • Recommendations – List the name and email address of three individuals who will be sent a link to submit their recommendation. While three recommendations are preferred, an application might be reviewed with only two completed recommendations.
    • Essays – Submit responses for two essay questions.
    • Resume – Attach current resume which highlights educational background and professional work experience.
    • College TranscriptsAfter the application fee has been paid, request official transcripts to be sent to etranscriptr@uvu.edu. Transcripts will be evaluated based on cumulative GPA or last 60 semester credits.
    • Graduate Test – Provide evidence of potential for success which may be demonstrated by submitting an official GMAT or GRE test score.
      • Goal is to obtain a 500 or above on the GMAT (perfect score is 800); GRE scores are converted to determine a GMAT equivalent.
      • Test preparation resources and registration information available at GMAT/GRE Prep.
        • NOTE 1: Consideration to waive the graduate test requirement may be given to students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher and interview with the MBA program director.Interviews scheduled after student has met with Admissions Advisor and application fee has been paid. Ideal candidates for consideration will have completed business or quantitative courses.
        • NOTE 2: Interviews will not be conducted prior to the application fee being paid and after having met with an MBA Admissions Adviser.
    • English Proficiency – Submit official TOEFL or IELTS scores. Required of applicants for whom English is a second language AND who earned a bachelor’s degree outside of the United States.
    • Affidavit of Support – Upload a signed Affidavit of Support that has been completed by person accepting financial responsibility. This includes showing an financial resources that will cover tuition, fees, and living expenses. If student will be self-sponsoring, they must provide a letter from their bank showing the required financial resource amount on deposit under the student's name. ALL FINANCIAL SUPPORT DOCUMENTS MUST BE IN ENGLISH AND SHOW AMOUNTS IN U.S. FUNDS.
    • Bank Statement– Provide document as requested on Affidavit of Support from student or sponsor.
    • Copy of Passport – Attach a copy of the passport for the student and any dependents who will also need an I-20.
    • Interview – An interview with members of the MBA Graduate Committee may be required as part of the application review process.

Note: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security now requires the completion of Form I-901 and a fee remittance of $200.00 prior to your appointment for a Visa. The form and instructions will be sent to the student upon UVU issuing an I-20.
