Rasha Qudisat Named Recipient of Utah Business Living Color Award

Utah Valley University (UVU) Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer Rasha Qudisat, Ph.D., was selected by Utah Business as one of 24 recipients of the Living Color Awards.

   

Utah Valley University (UVU) Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer Rasha Qudisat, Ph.D., was selected by Utah Business as one of 24 recipients of the Living Color Awards. The Living Color Awards highlight individuals in the community who work toward a more equitable and inclusive future for Utah.

Her nomination was reviewed by a panel containing members of Living Color Utah, the Black Chamber of Commerce, the Asian Chamber of Commerce, the LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, and others.

“I am deeply humbled and grateful to have been selected as the Living Color Honoree for 2023,” Dr. Qudisat said. “This award symbolizes the power of equity, inclusion, and collaboration in creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for everyone at UVU. It inspires us to continue building on our successes and to pave the way for future generations to create a more inclusive and equitable Utah.”

As chief inclusion and diversity officer, Dr. Qudisat oversees a myriad of university initiatives, committees, trainings, and resources to help make UVU a place for everyone. She aids in the development of equity, inclusion, and diversity (EID) plans across campus to sustain an inclusive environment that promotes the understanding and respect of underrepresented individuals and diverse perspectives.
