Nathan Gerber

Nathan Gerber

Nathan Gerber loves working at UVU and is currently the Director of Web Development Services. Since 1994, Nathan has enjoyed being part of the team here at UVU in many capacities. He loves the strategic focus of the campus and endeavors in working with all departments across campus to reflect that vision on their websites.

Nathan has served as the PACE Communications Chair, and member of the Communications Committee, and now serves as the PACE President. He looks forward to the interactions and collaborations with others across campus on PACE issues.

Nathan is a devoted father of five children and loving husband of Janelle, his wife. You'll often find Nathan working in his garden, hiking, fishing, biking, or goofing around with his kids.

Tami Jensen

Candida Johnson

Candida Johnson has served as the Assistant to the Associate Vice President –University Marketing & Communications, since 2015. Prior to that she worked with the Studios & Broadcast Services Department since moving to Utah, from San Antonio, Texas, in 2013. Some of her duties include working with various campus entities to collaborate on projects, facilitating campus image initiatives, commencement scheduling and logistics, and conference scheduling and logistics. Candida is also involved with community and intercampus relations.  

Candida has served the university staff through diligent planning and executing a variety of campus events including: Summer University, Staff Fall Forum, Staff Holiday Social, Commencement, and various campus conferences and events. Some of her responsibilities included acquiring, securing and hosting talent, obtain donations, distribute marketing collateral, work with campus scheduling and catering.  Off campus, Candida has been involved with several boards and has helped with the planning and executing a variety of events including: summer block parties, community theater productions, fund raising galas and family reunions.

Candida is a lifelong learner and treasures her campus experience and UVU diploma. Currently, she is working towards her bachelor’s degree in communication. When she is not studying you can usually find her playing with her granddaughter, hiking through the mountains with her family or exploring an off-road trail in their Jeep. She has an amazing husband, Tom, and two awesome children and one marvelous son-in-law, Savannah (Josh) and Nathan. While she claims to not have a favorite - everyone knows that the grandbaby is just that.

Tami Jensen

Tami Jensen

Tamara Jensen currently serves as the Assistant to the Dean for Finance and Operations within the Woodbury School of Business, she has held this role since October 2003. Tamara has also worked in other capacities within the university since 1998. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from UVU in 2003, as well as two prior Associate degrees in Business Communications/Office Technology and Administrative Information Management. Tamara is currently a candidate for a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Utah.

Tamara serves as a member of the Woodbury administrative and executive teams, has served as chair of the Nominations and Elections Committee for PACE, on the Woodbury School of Business Alumni Board, and various other campus committees. She has been the recipient of the Woodbury School of Business Staff Excellence Award and a Young Alumni Award.

Tamara has been involved in many of the changes within the University, such as the transition to University status, AACSB business accreditation, the addition of master's degree programs and more. She has worked with six different business school deans, each of whom has relied extensively on her experience and institutional knowledge to assist them in their role. She serves as the finance and operations officer overseeing the vast array of responsibilities it takes to run the now largest business school in the State of Utah, she works with the Dean, all department chairs and support staff in implementing and overseeing budgets, fiscal responsibility involved in the scheduling of courses, faculty workload and other operational activities. She not only works directly with top leadership such as vice presidents, directors and other leaders within UVU, but also has relationships and offers expertise to all faculty, staff and students on a myriad of issues. In addition, she has worked with many prominent community members such as advisory boards and donors.

As a mother to three boys, she feels it is important to show her children by example the value of education.

Shalece Nuttall

Beka Grulich

Working at UVU is one of the great joys of Beka’s life for the last 28 years. Currently, she is the Associate Director of Event Services-Campus Scheduling and loves the work of supporting all the great plans and events that the employees and students of UVU create. Previously she has held several positions in Student Services including; Manager of Campus Connection, UVUSA Advisor, and part of the first SLWC Management Team.

Beka is passionate about providing exceptional customer service to the Students, Staff, and Faculty across campus. She hopes to share her care and mindfulness with PACE to continue improving our campus as a great place to engage while attending school and/or working.

Beka has been blessed to contribute to and benefit from the UVU Community by earning a BS in University Studies, serving on the University Planning and Advisory Council, being a member of a UVSelf Co-hort, being a PACE Senator and currently serves on the Faculty-Senate Academic Scheduling Committee.

At home, Beka is married to Gary, who she met as an Olympic volunteer 17 years ago. They have two children who are devoted UVU Wolverine fans. On the weekends, you will find Beka at one of her kids’ events, doing a DIY project or sneaking a stitch or two on a crochet creation.

Ashlyn Robb

Ashlyn works as the Records Manager in the HRIS division of Human Resources.  She has been at UVU for seven years part time and then full time in 2016.  She is very organized, efficient and always willing to lend a helping hand for any project, task or event.  Ashlyn’s real loves are knitting and baking, especially candy making.  Her three children and husband have a hard time letting her leave the house with the goodies that she brings to the office.

Linda Makin

Linda Makin

Linda Makin serves as the Vice President for Planning, Budget and Human Resources at Utah Valley University. With over 35 years of higher education experience, Linda has participated with and led numerous teams to achieve new heights and vistas. Linda earned a master's degree in public administration from Brigham Young University and a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Utah Valley University. She is actively engaged in professional organizations having presented numerous times at regional and national conferences (and Summer Universities).

Linda loves to travel, in particular Disneyland. Her dream job would be to work as the Fairy Godmother at Cinderella's castle at Walt Disney World.
