Orem Campus Scholarship Information

The Wolverine Pathways Scholarship program allows students who meet specific criteria to receive funding for their tuition and general student fees. The purpose of the Wolverine Pathways scholarship program is to help you complete a college degree through a designated Utah Valley University Career and Technical Education Pathway, which could improve your earning potential throughout your life.

Wolverine Pathways Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Students who meet the following criteria are eligible for the Wolverine Pathways Scholarship:

  • Be a legal Utah resident.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  • Be an undergraduate (without a prior Bachelor's degree), with less than 75 credit attempted hours (including concurrent enrollment and transfer credit).
  • If awarded, the Wolverine Pathway Scholarship will be awarded based on full-time enrollment. The Wolverine Pathway Scholarship will be adjusted to reflect your actual enrollment on the "Last Day to Adjust Class Schedule for Financial Assistance Purposes" found on the Student Timetable.
  • Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Transfer students must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA of college coursework transferred in.
  • Complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and qualify for a Federal Pell Grant.
  • Have a household income of $40,000 or less.
  • Enroll and progress in a designated (see list below with Certificates and AAS degrees) Utah Valley University — Career and Technical Education Pathway.
  • Apply for graduation at the completion of the certificate and two-year level. (No additional cost is required)

Wasatch Campus Scholarship Information

The Wasatch Pathways Scholarship for $1000 per semester is available for students in a designated Pathway at UVU Wasatch Campus. The scholarship provides funding for tuition for students who meet specific criteria. The scholarship is awarded for one academic semester at a time. Students may reapply for funding for subsequent academic semesters as long as they are in a Pathway and meet the eligibility requirements. You must meet with a Wasatch Campus Administrator to help you set up a Wolverine Track Plan showing their designated Pathway.

  • Be a legal Utah resident.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  • Be an undergraduate (without a prior Bachelor's degree), with less than 75 credit attempted hours (including concurrent enrollment and transfer credit).
  • Enroll in and stay enrolled in at least 12 credit hour each semester you receive the Wasatch Pathway Scholarship. 9 credits of which need to be taken at the Wasatch Campus.
  • Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Transfer students must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA of college coursework transferred in.
  • Enroll in a Utah Valley University Wasatch Campus Pathway.

How To Apply

  1. Apply for admission for Utah Valley University.
  2. Meet with a Utah Valley University Wasatch Campus Administrator and attach a current Wolverine Track Plan (Degree Audit) signed by a UVU-Wasatch Administrator, showing your designated Utah Valley University Wasatch Pathway.
  3. Upload this form and the current degree audit signed by the Utah Valley University Wasatch Campus Administrator to the Utah Valley University Financial Aid and Scholarships Office by August 15th for Fall semester, December 15th for Spring semester, and April 15th for Summer semester. To upload the documents: Log in to myUVU, Click on Student Tab, Financial Aid folder (under Banner Services), Upload Financial Aid Forms, Select the appropriate Aid Year, choose the document by Clicking the Browse button in the “Select File for Import” field, Submit File. All documents must be in PDF format.
  4. Enroll in and complete at least 12 credit hours per semester. Of the 12 credits, 9 must be taken at the Wasatch Campus.
