Our Mission

UVU's Religious Studies Program fosters and facilitates an interdisciplinary approach to the academic study of religion. We explore diverse traditions and worldviews by engaging their history, theology, literature, and culture.  The program serves our students and community by deepening our understanding of religious beliefs and practices in a spirit of inclusion and open inquiry. Our aim is to create an environment that supports a variety of perspectives and methodologies.

COVID-19 Modified Operations

Your safety is our top concern during this pandemic. With your health and the health of our staff in mind, we have made the decision to close operations for the Religious Studies Program until further notice. Please stay safe during this difficult time, we look forward to welcoming you back to campus. You may contact Courtney Burns at courtney.burns@uvu.edu with any questions or concerns.
