Project Coordination and Management. As an International Assn. of Business Communicators (IABC) award winner (Bureau of Indian Affairs symposium materials), Patti coordinated design and printing of a wide array of collateral materials for various clients, among them are the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument Science Symposium during the Clinton administration and various print projects for many agencies. Adept at both project budget management and staff administration, Patti has developed outreach materials for Utah Division of Wildlife and Utah Geological Survey, as well as various specialty projects in partnership with Bureau of Land Management (BLM), US Geological Survey (USGS), US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) and National Park Service (NPS). As a contractor for Dept. of Commerce (DoC), US Travel and Tourism Association (USTTA), she procured a large print award (1.6 million brochures), coordinated print schedules, performed extensive press checks, and served as point-of-contact liaison between DoC representative and print provider.
Graphic Arts Development. A published artist, she has created natural history educational and interpretive signage, symposium and tradeshow/exhibit materials. She possesses superior skill sets in communication in both spoken and conceptual visuals, project coordination, budgeting and scheduling, interaction with subordinates, editing large documents, and production oversight from inception to delivery, including storyboard creation and illustrations for final project presentations. Patti comfortably maintains seamless integration with colleagues and contractors. She has negotiated agreements with agencies and worked with key administrators, internal staff and vendors managing many campaigns and deliverables from concept to client approvals within established budgets and deadlines.
Creative Writing. Patti has created business plans, authored feature stories, written RFPs, talking points and press releases, composed advertising copywriting and established style guidelines for governmental and commercial clientele branding requirements. She writes and manages all social media for Utah Valley University Community and Continuing Education.
Technical Writing. While at Utah Department of Natural Resources, she edited and proofed scientific white papers, geologic- and natural history-oriented drafts for publishing, and consulted with geologists, seismologists and biologists in preparation of final book publishing. She assisted clients in the production and writing of business plans and due diligence presentations.
