Robert Moffat is a native of Arizona. He graduated with a BFA in Music Dance Theater from Brigham Young University in 2002 where he stayed to teach in the same department for a semester. Rob spent the next many years working in Utah, Nevada, and California as an actor, singer, dancer, musical director, arranger, voice teacher, producer, choreographer, stage manager, stand-in, and child wrangler. Most notably, Rob performed in Monty Python's Spamalot in Las Vegas under the direction of Mike Nichols and Casey Nicholaw. He also completed his MFA in Directing from University of Idaho. 

Rob began working at UVU in 2012 and currently teaches Musical Theater as an Artist in Residence. 

In 2014, Rob was honored by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival for his Outstanding Achievement in Musical Direction for the nationally acclaimed production of Next to Normal here at UVU.
