Emily Hedrick is a proud UVU alumnus with a Bachelors Degree in Digital Media. During her sophomore year she had the opportunity to work on an international project to Namibia, Africa. She returned a year later for her capstone project working with a local radio station in Windhoek, Namibia to build the first podcast in Africa. She was recruited in her junior year to the newly created Digital Media Division at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From there, Emily worked on the full spectrum of digital media. Helping to create digital publishing strategies for products around the world. She was asked a few years later to return as an adjunct instructor to continue developing the Web Technologies degree of Digital Media. In that time she continued her education with a MA at Arizona State University focusing on messaging and content development in their American Media program. Emily has a deep passion for experiential learning and always encourages those around her to always get involved in a good cause, whatever it may be. When the opportunity to return to Utah Valley University as a full-time faculty member, Emily knew this is where she wanted to be.

When Emily is not teaching, she's traveling and when she's not traveling, she's thinking about traveling. She also enjoys all things technology, the outdoors, and flyfishing.
