Patrick Milligan joined the faculty of Utah Valley University in January of 2015.  Prior to that, he served as Corporate Vice President GameStop/Simply Mac.  Mr. Milligan worked for Kraft Foods Global, Inc for more than 20 years in many important capacities including:

- Sr. Vice President of Marketing

- Vice President of Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics

- Vice President, Brands

- Chair, Advisory Board for Biscuit Brand Marketing

- Sr. Director of Sales Strategy

- Sr. Director Centers of Excellence 

Mr. Milligan has extensive brand marketing experience in managing some of the world's most well-known consumer products. As a senior executive in a number of Fortune 100 companies, he is uniquely qualified to connect with industry leaders, advise students and faculty, assist in career placement, assess student readiness and provide marketing expertise in promoting the UVU-Woodbury School of Business brand. Having hired and managed thousands of employees, been responsible for literally billions in sales and managed massive P&L's, his experience is a tremendous advantage to our students and to our school. Mr. Milligan also serves as a committee member and paid a consultant for Gerson Lehrman Group, Colemen Consulting Group, AlphaSights, and others.

In addition to his experience in business, Mr. Milligan served as a military officer, commanding troops in Europe, the Middle-East and Somalia. As the Director of Information Management, he worked with some of the most advanced telecommunications and information systems hardware and software in the world, culminating with his assignment to the United States Space Command and NORAD.

Mr. Milligan holds a Master's degree in Management and a second Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.  In 1987, Mr. Milligan graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing Management.  Mr. Milligan was a Distinguished Military Graduate and a recipient of the Salt Lake Tribune Award for Academic Excellence. He also served as President of the University of Utah Scabbard and Blade Honor Society.  He is a very proud 1985 graduate of Utah Valley Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Business Management.  Mr. Milligan has for many years been extensively involved in the higher education community and has served on the Marketing Board of the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University as a Group Chair and the National Advisory Council of the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University where he has served as its chair.

- Professor Milligan was named the UVU Outstanding Educator of the Year for 2016

- Patrick Milligan was the 2013 recipient of the Utah Valley University- Pinnacle Award.  

As noted in the award announcement, "In his role on the National Advisory Council for the Woodbury School of Business, he has created programs and enhancements that are helping students prepare for and find jobs in their fields of interest. In his five-plus years on the council, the last two as council chair, Mr. Milligan established a mentoring program through which NAC members and other professionals have mentored hundreds of students. He has enhanced the school’s annual job fair, is a favorite guest lecturer, and has given several presentations as part of the Woodbury School’s Reed & Christine Halladay Executive Lecture Series".

Mr. Milligan is excited to serve as faculty at Utah Valley University where his college career started many years ago.
