Brief Bio:

I received my BBA in accounting from Texas Tech University.  I worked for the Bank of New York in New York City as a mutual fund accountant for a year before moving back to Texas.  Once in Texas, I completed my MBA with an emphasis in Management & Leadership in 2008.

In my last semester of my MBA coursework, I took a personal finance class and it changed my life.  I decided I wanted to help people save for their financial goals.  The best way to have the impact I wanted was to work on a PhD so I could teach others how to help families.  I began the PhD in Personal Financial Planning at Texas Tech University and graduated before moving to Utah.

I have several years of teaching experience, both online and face-to-face.  I enjoy UVU's engaged learning mission and try to bring as much to the classroom as possible.  I am excited to be a part of UVU's nationally recognized Personal Financial Planning program.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and exercising.
