Dr. Jensen's primary teaching and research interests lie in 20th-Century Spanish American literature, in particular poetry and the short story. He co-created PURO CUENTO Grupo de Lectura, an effort dedicated to providing opportunities for Spanish speakers to engage with literary texts--mostly short stories--in Spanish, outside of the academic environment. He also created and teaches a course devoted to service-learning in the local Spanish-speaking community, which is offered every Spring Semester. He drinks mate every day and manages an Argentine League fantasy soccer team.  He has worked at UVU since 2000.
