Amy joined the Center for the Advancement in Leadership team (CAL) at Utah Valley University (UVU) in March 2017.

Amy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Sonoma State University. During her undergraduate experience, Amy studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark for 9 months. After graduating from Sonoma State, Amy served a volunteer mission at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Upon returning from her volunteer experience, Amy worked with children and adolescents with special needs. As a behavioral interventionist, she primarily helped clients with Autism and Down Syndrome.

Amy earned her Masters Degree in Public Administration-Public Policy at California State University-East Bay. She served with CSU-East Bay’s Student Housing & Residence Life team for 5 years.

Amy attributes much of her passion for leadership to a non-profit organization, EDGE Youth Leadership. Amy has been volunteering with the organization since 2004 and currently serves on the Board of Directors. 

Some of her favorite "people, places and things" include family, friends, leadership, diversity, fitness, service, food, faith, education, travel, baking, EDGE Youth Leadership, technology, manicures, the Bay Area, Denmark, music, languages, and sleep.
