Heidi Almosara received her B.F.A. from Texas Christian University and a M.A. and M.F.A. from the University of Dallas in Texas.  She specializes in screenprinting and actively exhibits internationally. She has had exhibitions in the continental US, Alaska and Hawaii as well as, but not limited to, Russia, Peru, Japan, New Zealand, Finland, Taiwan, and Guatemala.  Heidi has taught at several colleges and universities; most recently she taught full time with Auburn University Montgomery in Alabama and was able to continue her employment there while teaching online and living abroad in Korea and Japan for the past 4 years. While in Japan, she studied at the Sogetsu Foundation in Tokyo and was awarded the rank of Ikkyu which is the 4th rank teacher’s diploma for Sogetsu Ikebana. Heidi also completed the MI-LAB Artist-in-Residence Mokuhanga Program in Fujikawaguchiko alongside 5 other international artists. Recently, Heidi created 3 original screen prints as illustrations for the book “Intruding Upon the Timeless: Mediations on Art, Faith, and Mystery”, 2nd edition expansion by Gregory Wolfe. She is also a huge fan of English bulldogs and has a beloved bulldog named Pescia.
