Dr. Afsaneh Minaie (joined UVU in 2001) is a professor of Computer Engineering.  She has over twenty years of teaching experience, having taught at numerous colleges and universities, including UVU, Texas State Tecnical College, Southern University in New Orleans, and Louisiana State University in Shreveport.  Prior to coming to UVU, she was a Control Engineer and Product Owner for General Electric Commercial Transformer Plant in Shreveport, Louisiana.  At UVU, she has been instrumental in developing the curriculum for the university Computer Engineering program which is the first engineering program at UVU.
