Marianna is an academic advisor in the Digital Media department. She is a first-generation American; her family hails from Poland. She is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She graduated from UVU with a bachelor's degree in Communication: Public Relations, and completed a Master's of Professional Studies: Social Entrepreneurship from Fort Hays State University in May 2018. 
Marianna enjoys singing, planning events, eating international foods, reading, attending local theatre productions, Halloween, civic engagement, camping, home improvement, Disneyland, Star Wars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and traveling in the U.S. and abroad. She's married to Tom, an associate professor at UVU; they have four great kids.
Marianna thoroughly enjoys working with the staff, students, and faculty at UVU. She has worked at UVU since 2010, previously in the study abroad department. Among other volunteer activities, she served as the club advisor for the What's So Funny? Improv Comedy Club at UVU, and served as the PACE Events Committee chair for three years. She is looking forward to teaching SLSS 2100 Major and Career Exploration in Fall 2018!
