Marianna's Advising Syllabus

Marianna is an academic advisor in the Digital Media department. She is a first-generation American; her family hails from Poland (yes, she speaks Polish). She is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She transferred to UVU from Grand Valley State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication: Public Relations. Marianna earned a Master's of Professional Studies: Social Entrepreneurship from Fort Hays State University. She has worked at UVU since 2009, previously in the study abroad department.
Marianna enjoys singing, planning events, eating international foods, reading, attending local theatre productions, Halloween, civic engagement, camping, home improvement, Disneyland, Star Wars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and traveling in the U.S. and abroad. She's married to Tom, an associate professor at UVU; they have four great kids and two big red dogs. 
Among other volunteer activities, she served as the club advisor for the What's So Funny? Improv Comedy Club at UVU, and served as the PACE Events Committee chair for three years.
She also teaches SLSS 2100 Major and Career Exploration!
