Wolverine Completion Resident Waiver
The Wolverine Completion Resident Waiver is designed to help students who are near
completion of their first bachelor's degree. It will help give them the push to finish
strong! Here are the requirements for the program:
- Must be a Utah Resident
- Must be in a declared bachelor's degree (working on FIRST bachelor's degree)
- Must have 90 or more credits completed and applied towards a bachelor's degree at
the time of the application deadline
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0; priority is given to students with a GPA of 2.5 or
higher
- Must be on track to graduate within six years of the first semester attended at UVU
(not including concurrent enrollment)
- Must have completed FAFSA application and be eligible to recieve federal aid (FAFSA
application must be completed, submitted, processed, and the student must complete
verification by the application deadline)
- Must have an updated and completed graduation plan in Wolverine Track that is less than a year old, locked by an academic advisor (showing your estimated graduation date), and reflecting the classes that will be
taken to complete your degree at the time of application submission
- Must be registered for classes at least two weeks before start of the semester in which you are hoping to receive the waiver
- Application must be submitted at least two business weeks prior to the semester you
hope to receive the waiver
Applicants selected to receive the Wolverine Completion Resident Waiver will be required
to check-in with the Degree Completion Program Manager two times a semester once face
to face (online via teams or in person) and once via text message.
Returning Wolverine Resident Waiver
The Returning Wolverine Resident Waiver is designed to help students who have taken
a break from their studies at UVU and are ready to return and finish a bachelor's
degree. Here are the requirements for the program:
- Must be a Utah Resident
- Have taken a break from school(post their first semester) for two or more consecutive
semesters (you can apply even if you have already returned from your break)
- Must be in a declared bachelor's degree (working on FIRST bachelor's degree)
- Must have a minimum or 65 credits completed; however, priority is given to the students
with 90 or more credits completed and applied towards a bachelor's degree at the time
of the application deadline
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0; priority is given to the students with a 2.5 or higher
GPA
- Must have a completed FAFSA application and be eligible to recieve federal aid (FAFSA
