Student Success Specialists provide personalized support by reaching out to students through text messages, phone calls, emails, and one-on-one both in person and online. They help guide students through barriers or questions they have about how to navigate university processes and resources. They also help students develop strategies that will help them succeed from their first-year to graduation. Their regular student outreach includes:

• New Student Welcome: Contacting each new freshmen and new transfer student their first semester at UVU.
• Student Referrals for Support: Contacting students that are referred by peers, staff, faculty, community, etc. through the Refer-a-Student Form (located near the end of the page).
• Early Alert Support: Contacting students who have received an Early Alert in a course to answer questions, offer support strategies, and connect to resources that can help students get back on course.
• Returning Wolverines: Connecting with students that have not attended UVU for a year or more to help them with the re-admission, deadlines, and connecting them to key support staff to help students looking for information and resources to complete their degrees.
