Alertus Desktop is an emergency mass notification desktop alerting software that is designed to reach everyone in your organization, no matter where they’re located and immediately grab their attention with customizable desktop alerts.
Alertus is required on all campus-owned computers, and should be installed by your IT area technician prior to receiving the computer. For personal machines, download and run the installer.
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows a computer to create a private connection over
the internet to the UVU network. Using VPN technology, you can connect to the UVU
network from anywhere and securely access UVU resources as if you were physically
located on campus.
Remote access to the campus network and some online university services require use
of the AnyConnect virtual private network (VPN) client. The VPN is a limited resource,
and is not necessary for most work. Please use cloud services whenever possible to
reduce strain on infrastructure, only connecting to VPN when using VPN-dependent resources.
