Summer Aid

For student loans, you must submit a FAFSA to Financial Aid and meet with a Financial-Aid Counselor. To pay for Summer school, students can apply for student loans, scholarships, be awarded a summer grant, if eligible, or use any remaining Pell Grant funding left over from the Spring and Fall semesters. All awards are based on individual student eligibility.

Eligible students may receive up to $2,298 through the Summer Grant. Review the eligibility requirements and if you meet ALL criteria, follow the submission instructions.

If you were awarded a Pell Grant but did not take 12 credits Spring and Fall, you should have remaining funds available to apply toward your summer semester. You can look at your account on myUVU, or contact a Financial-Aid Counselor in One Stop to confirm remaining funds. Pell Grant amounts are subject to each students Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility percentage.

If you have received federal loan money at UVU or another institution during the aid year, you may not be eligible for any additional loan monies available for Summer semester.
