We cannot guarantee a student will skip a level in math since the post assessment will depend upon the motivation and work ethic of individual participants. However, the program is designed such that students completing their individual study plan and scoring well on practice assessments should expect to place into a higher math course.
Students must attend every session, arriving on time and actively participating in the entire session.
Students will have access to ALEKS learning and prep modules outside of the computer lab, so they can take advantage of the opportunity to learn and improve their math skills as much as they would like.
Yes, students can take advantage of the ALEKS learning and prep modules anytime.
For six months, starting the first day of the workshop.
Students have five assessments. Only the proctored assessment will count for placement into UVU courses.
The $45 fee includes six months of access to ALEKS, three weeks of face-to-face instruction time with a UVU professor, and fees for the proctored placement test.
