John Gappmayer is an internationally focused executive with more than 15 years of experience in international expansion and support. Through his experience serving a mission to Japan for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gappmayer developed a love of exploring and learning about new cultures. Presently, he works as the area director for North Asia at doTERRA International, a leading global provider of essential oils and natural health products, helping the company open and grow in new markets in the region.
Gappmayer earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Utah Valley University (then Utah Valley State College) in 1998 and earned an M.B.A. from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in international management from the prestigious Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Gappmayer lives in Mapleton, Utah, with his wife and five children. He loves spending time outdoors with his family and takes every opportunity possible to drag them all over the world with him. His wife and kids have spent time with him in Mexico, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Europe.
