Please join UVU faculty, staff, students, and community members for a unique and engaging Sustainability Day to be held on the UVU Campus on Wednesday, October 25. This event will provide information and promote dialogue on a wide variety of environmental issues.  There will be a panel discussion concerning people, politics and energy, a question and answer session on climate, and presentations on a variety of topics. Representatives from over thirty local and national organizations will provide service opportunities along with relevant and applicable information.  To celebrate our environment, UVU students will recite poetry, exhibit art, and perform music.

Environmental issues have become highly politicized but rather than strengthen biases, Sustainability Day will attempt to combat misinformation and provide sound scientific evidence. It will create a platform to provide current research, pertinent data, and most importantly, encourage civil discourse on issues of sustainability.  Informational tables will be set up from 9:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the Science Atrium and Hall of Flags and speaker presentations will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Presentations will take place in SC 213B from 10:00 - 3:00 p.m. and in SB 134 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.  There will be opportunities to participate in discussions and ask questions. Free food will be available.  Please consider attending this extraordinary event.
